Definition: compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another’s authority.

A believer exercises obedience when having heard the word of God, they respond to it by doing what it instructs or says. This entails aligning one’s will with God’s will and is demonstrated by surrendering to the authority of His Word in all decision-making. (Luke 22:42; John 5:30)
